Hey guys! I have a very special post for you today.
Cloud’s review of Endgame!
Since this movie is been out for a little while, a lot of you have probably seen it. You’d have to be living under a rock to not know about it. However, I’m still choosing to make this a spoiler free review, in case someone hasn’t seen it. Although, this will have spoilers for Infinity war, so if you don’t know what happens there, go ahead a click out of this. Here we go!
This is not a movie you can just watch. Before you do, you must watch most of the other marvel movies. I didn’t think Captain Marvel had a very prominent role in this movie, so you could probably skip that one, but you definitely need to watch Iron Man, Iron Man 3, All 3 Captain Americas, All of the Avenger movies, All of the Thor movies, Both Ant Man movies, both Guardians movies, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Spider-Man Homecoming. It would be good to watch them all though.
Anyway, so Endgame is the movie it’s all been leading up to. You will see a lot of references and characters from the previous movies, so that’s why I recommend to watch all the movies.
It begins right where Infinity War left off, with everyone turning to dust. Since there are less characters, the characters who are left have more screen time and their personalitites show a bit more. There’s a lot of sadness in this movie, but there’s also a lot of humor, nostalgia, tension, and happy parts too. There was even a Build a Bear reference guys!
Not too long into the movie, it jumps ahead to five years after the events of Infinity War. The characters have changed a lot within this five years. The characters are a lot different than you remember them. You may not me happy with the state of your favorites. However, (this is in the preview, it doesn’t count as a spoiler) Ant-Man exits the quantam realm, and he has an idea of how to bring everyone back. The remaining Avengers bond together and attempt to get everyone back, five years after the fact. There are a lot of happy moments. and also sad moments.
While I enjoyed this movie, it was also very confusing. If you’ve seen it, you know what I’m talking about, but basically, there are a lot of contradictory scenes in the movie. This film changes the MCU forever, and I could definitely see it being the last movie(except for the fact that they have a bunch of movies scheduled)
I would rate this 4.5/5, because I’m satisfied with the ending, but it was also very confusing and I wish it would have explained things a bit more.
Go out and see the movie! If you have seen it, let me know what you thought of it!
