Band Performance – Camp Happy Heart 2019

Hey guys! Today I have a post that I’m very proud of! Firstly though, if you are having trouble viewing my photos, please try viewing them in Google Chrome. If that doesn’t work, contact me and I’ll find a way to make sure you can see them. Anyway, there was also no post yesterday, and I want you to know that I just thought that my time would be better spent working on this post. Also, the post yesterday seemed kind of unneccessary. Onto today’s post…

Battle of the Bear Bands! Each of the cabins put together a band and will be singing a song for everyone! First up we have:

The Princesses of Pop! The Cheerful Ladybugs cabin(minus Sandy. There was a mix up with the lists and she accidentally was placed in the same band as the girls from The Bold Butterflies. Oh well, they still had fun!)

Here are the girls, ready to perform Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen!

We have Swirl on vocals,

Cherie on the trumpet,

And Sparkles on the Cello!

I threw a wish in the well, don’t ask me, I’ll never tell
I looked to you as it fell and now you’re in my way
I trade my soul for a wish, pennies and dimes for a kiss
I wasn’t looking for this, but now you’re in my way

Hey, I just met you and this is crazy
But here’s my number, so call me, maybe?
It’s hard to look right at you, baby
But here’s my number, so call me, maybe?

They took a group picture at the end.

The Campfire Crew went next as the band: Cali and the Moonflowers!

They decided to sing State of Grace by Taylor Swift.

We have Gracie on the recorder,

Petal on the Guitar,

And Cali on guitar and lead vocals.

I’m walking fast through the traffic lights
Busy streets and busy lives
And all we know, is touch and go
We are alone with our changing minds
We fall in love ’til it hurts or bleeds, or fades in time

So you were never a saint
And I’ve loved in shades of wrong
We learn to live with the pain
Mosaic broken hearts
But this love is brave and wild

Group picture!

The Super Adventurers named their band Cloud and the Minions.

They’re singing an appropriate song, Happy from Despicable Me 2!

With Cloud on vocals,

Rudy on the harmonica,

Mischief on the guitar(he wasn’t too happy about the flowers)

And Chip on the background vocals.

(Because I’m happy)
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
(Because I’m happy)
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
(Because I’m happy)
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
(Because I’m happy)
Clap along if you feel like that’s what you wanna do

Finally, the Bold Butterflies(plus Sandy)

These gals decided to sing Never Really Over by Katy Perry.

With Cherry on the guitar,

Claire on the harmonica,

Even though Candy was the guitarist, she also tried to sing backup. She didn’t like the fact that her elder sister was the star.

And Sandy did the main vocals.

Just because it’s over doesn’t mean it’s really over
And if I think it over, maybe you’ll be coming over again
And I’ll have to get over you all over again
Just because it’s over doesn’t mean it’s really over
And if I think it over, maybe you’ll be coming over again
And I’ll have to get over you all over again

And, a photo of all of the campers.

We had a great day with all the performances of the bands! The judges just decided that everyone’s a winner. Also, I just wanted to say that this may be my favorite week of camp, all thanks to this post. Did you guys enjoy this? I really hope you did. I worked really hard on the setting. Please tell me what you think!

Also, next week was supposed to be Blast from the Past, but I’ve decided to move up Styles of Summer instead. Blast of the Past should be in two weeks from now. I hope you guys are excited!

(And I’m not even going to get started on how this post took me 2 and a half hours)

    1. Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed! That would be awesome! I honestly recommend all of the Build a Bears I own, but I’m pretty sure most of them are no longer available. I think you should just get whichever one stands out to you.
P.S. Of course not! I’ve already been reading your blogs but maybe I haven’t been commenting.

  1. Sounds like a great experience. Will do. My sisters each got a Build-a-Bear stuffed at a store about two years ago. I think I was at a friends house then. Unfortunately they’ve kinda outgrown their Build a Bears.

  2. I love the colors of the background together, and those cute little sunglasses, adorable!
(Also I noticed that the thing that happened with Rebcake, happened with me. For two days I couldn’t see the photos, but then not to long after you gave me the site link, I could view the photos on the original site.)
