Today, I have for you some news about Camp Happy Heart and some of my goals for it this year.
First up, I’m going to share with you the news about Camp:
I’m switching up the week schedule!
That’s right. I’m switching “Oh The Places We’ll Go” with “Astonishing Athletics”.
Also, you may remember that I initially had it to where there was no Astonishing Athletics. I was going to do Olympics 2020, but well, that isn’t happening now.
I’m also hoping that by the time Oh The Places We’ll Go is around, the world will be back up and running for travel. But, even if not, Oh The Places We’ll Go is still going to happen that week.
Here’s the updated schedule:
Welcome to Camp – June 1st
Once Upon a Time – June 8th
Astonishing Athletics – June 15th
Furry Friends – June 22nd
Colorful Creations – June 29th
A Book can Take You Anywhere – July 6th
Battle of the Bear Bands – July 13th
Oh The Places We’ll Go – July 20th
Reflections of Camp – July 27th
Also, check out these a.m.a.z.i.n.g. graphics made by Liberty! I’m so glad she made these, they look fantastic.
I also intend to do a weekly photo challenge. Each week you need to send in a photo following the prompt. In order to win, you need to send in a photo for every week’s prompt(but you can make it up if you missed a week or two!). I think this will be fun! I’d love to see your photos. (There will also be reader photos too!)
My other news is that I’m going to be sending out an email to all my guest post participants sometime this week. This will have some guidelines on how to make your guest posts and how to send them in, etc.
Now I’m going to be discussing some of my goals for Camp Happy Heart 2020.
This one depends on you guys, but I’m hoping for a little more participation this year! Last year turned out better than I ever expected, and I’m hoping for even more participation this year! You guys can help out by sending in pictures of your dolls or stuffies participating in camp, making the crafts, commenting on posts, and spreading the word. Tell any friends or siblings who might be interested, and it would do me a huge favor if you mentioned CHH on one of your blogs!
Higher Quality Posts
I’m really hoping that this summer will be better than last year as far as posts too. I think this year’s posts will be more purposeful. I also planned less posts this year, so that should help a lot with the quality of posts I do end up making.
Don’t Wait til the Last Minute to Make These Posts
Last year, I may have put off writing some of the posts until the last minute. I really don’t want to do that this year, so my goal is to have each week scheduled before it starts. But, that’s kind of unlikely, so my real goal is to have each post scheduled the day before it’s supposed to be scheduled.
Reach 1000 Pageviews
We actually received 1,122 pageviews during camp last year, but it was also 3 months long instead of 2. I don’t know if we’ll make it to 1000 this year, but it depends on you guys!
Maintain the Schedule
Yeah, I really want to stick to the schedule that I’ve made. The schedule is a craft, photostory, photoshoot, show, and guest post every week.
Focus More On The Bears/Life at Camp
One of the complaints of last year was that I wasn’t spending that much time on the bears experience at Camp. Well, this year, I plan to do a weekly photostory to fix that issue. Let’s see how it goes!
Improve the Setting
I mean, the setting last year wasn’t bad, I just want something that I can be proud of.
I’ll come back and revisit these goals sometime after camp ends. I’m definitely excited for camp though guys! Are you?
