Hello friends! Today I have a post for you that is a short photostory about Cali moving in to the new house. I know I normally let the bears take over during BAB Takeover Week, but I wanted to preface this story.
This is a nostalgic photostory that I wrote. It basically represents how getting a BAB House marks a new beginning for this blog. Also, some of the pictures featured in this are old, so the quality is obviously off. Finally, this story is set when the BAB’s first moved into the house. However, there is still fall decor, and Cali is wearing a sweater and all, so if you want to think this photostory takes place in October, go ahead! I think that’s all, so enjoy!
Cali Stone picked at the edges of her purple sweater. Today, her family was going to officially move into their new house. Cali didn’t know what to expect. Since there were so many family members and friends around, Cali had no need to help pack up and unpack the family’s belongings. Cali hadn’t even seen the new house.
Though, the new house was sure to be better than the old one, that was for sure.
Cali’s family had never had a “proper” home in Diamond’s house. Among them were a closet, a set of drawers, and Cali’s personal favorite, a bookcase where Camp Happy Heart was held. Despite being told that this house was by far the best, Cali still had a sense of anxiety about it.
“This new house isn’t the house where I met Mischief and Sparkles,” Cali thought, reminiscing about meeting her cousins.
“This isn’t where we spent Christmas,” she recalled. Last Christmas was very special to Cali, for we did the 25 days of Christmas on our blog.
“This isn’t the place where Cloud and I stayed up past our bedtimes watching Marvel movies,” Cali added to her ever-growing lists of things that she hadn’t experienced in the new house.
Cali spent the last few moments of time in her old house (currently, it was Diamond’s closet) thinking about all of the wonderful things she had experienced in her short, seven years of life in random houses. She wondered if anything could ever top the things she’d already experienced.
“Cali!” Mommy called. “Are you ready to see the new house?”
Cali took one last glance of her temporary home. She sighed. “Goodbye…”
Cali slowly followed Mommy and Daddy into the new house. Cherry instantly ran through the door, of course, but most of Cali’s siblings maintained a normal speed as the entered the house. Cali peeked inside.
When you first entered, you entered the living room. Cali saw the large sectional and thought “That will be so nice to have when we watch movies together!” Slowly, Cali’s nerves began to fade away.
Next, there was Mommy and Daddy’s bedroom. There was a big bed, perfect for if Cali had a nightmare and decided to snuggle with them. There was also a bathroom, kitchen, and finally, a bedroom for the kids.
Cali smiled as she surveyed her new bedroom. It looked very cozy, and she couldn’t wait to hang out with her sisters in there. She climbed up the bunk bed. There were so many memories to be made in this new house. “No,” Cali thought. “This isn’t just a house. This is home.”
