Hello friends! Today, it’s time for another installment of Candy’s Christmas Carol! I know I said that the next part would be on the 16th, but when I finished writing the story, I realized that it makes the most logical sense to split it up into 5 parts. Anyway, I can now say with confidence that there will be part 3 on the 16th, part 4 on the 18th, and the fifth and final part on the 21st.
I also edited these photos, so they may look a little off. I need to practice editing this sort of stuff more. Just…keep that in mind when you see them…
One last thing, thank you all SO much for 200 followers! I’m in awe at this milestone for BABF. I will definitely do something to celebrate, though it will likely be in 2021. Thank you all!
That night, I lay awake in bed, pondering what to do to get my present.
“I could just take it from Cali,” I thought. That wasn’t a bad idea.
Suddenly, I heard a strange sound. It was followed by a bright light.
Oddly enough, my sisters didn’t seem to be bothered by the commotion. They continued to sleep soundly in their beds.
A woman emerged from the shining light. I squinted. Was that?
It was Mommy!
“Mommy?” I asked quietly.
“I am the Ghost of Christmas Past. I may look like your mother, but that is only because I take the form of someone from your past,” the spirit whistled.
“Let’s take a trip into the past together. Take my hand,”
I hesitated. “You’re just some creepy person who’s trying to abduct me.”
“Okay, you don’t have to move then,” the Ghost snapped her fingers and we appeared above a lovely Christmas Morning scene.
“Look familiar?” she asked me.
I took a closer look. “That’s Christmas a couple years ago.”
“Yes. Look at all the gifts you received,” she pointed out. “Do you know what you did with them?”
“I got rid of them after a few days. I’d moved on,” I replied.
“Does that seem like someone deserving of gifts?”
“Well, uh, yeah…” I shakily replied.
“How would you feel if you spent time preparing a gift for someone, only to find that they moved on after a week?” the spirit asked me.
“Probably pretty bad,” I admitted.
The Ghost of Christmas Past snapped her fingers once more. We were looking down upon last year’s Christmas.
“Hey, I did better that year!” I retorted.
“You did,” the ghost praised. “But only for one day. You immediately went back to your selfish ways.”
My head lowered. “I guess you’re right…”
Chimes rang. The bright light returned.
“My time is up! You will be visited by 2 more spirits before the night is through!” the ghost cried before she vanished.
Then, I was back in my bed. Instantly, my head hit my pillow and I went right to sleep.
Part 2 is done! Let me know what you think.
Make sure to stay tuned for more 25 Days of Christmas tomorrow and every day leading up to Christmas!
