Yay Issabelle! I loved her story so much, but you guys are about to see for yourself just how awesome her story is!

This story is written by her, not me! Enjoy!

The wind starts swirling, and my stomach lurches. I am probably going to be sick. What is happening? One minute everything is perfectly calm during my family’s annual beach vacation and the next, the world faded in a mix of blue and grey. The wind slaps my face and I feel trapped in a tycoon.

I. Can’t. Breathe.

The smudges that are supposed to be my family mesh with the swirl of what is supposed to be sand and sky. It’s almost like I’m stuck on an artist’s paint palette. The swish and mix of colors have been combined to form a new one. Something odd and indescribable creating something beautiful.

This is supposed to be the best summer of my life. Everything is supposed to be perfect. My family has been planning this beach trip for eight months; I had every single detail planned and organized for the best three months of my life.

What went wrong?

The wind won’t stop and panic rises, clogging my throat. I want to scream but when I open my mouth, words don’t fall free. My hair flies in front of my face. I can’t see anything but tangled blonde locks.

Something hits my shoulder. The wind slows and I drink in gulps of the salty sea air. My lungs expand and I vow to never take sweet, precious air for granted again. As the mix of colors shifts to create a new scene, my heart screams so loud the sound is deafening. My family is nowhere close by. The endless stretch of blue sea is all that fills my blurred vision.

The chirping of a bird pierces my ear. I turn as a black raven flies past, dropping something from its clawed hands. Bending, I grab the slip of notebook paper. On it, scrawled in large letters, is one word.

HELP!

I gulp, questions stirring in my mind. The memory of what was supposed to be the best vacation of my life flickers in the back of my thoughts. A reminder of what has been left behind. Wherever I am, I have been brought here for a purpose. For a mission. I may have been surrendering every whimsical summer dream left in my aching heart, but deep down, I know it is time to fulfill that purpose.

That was so cool, wasn’t it! Congrats to Issabelle!

Also, huge shoutout to Corrie and Alexa! They had amazing stories too. You can check out Corrie’s here, and I might share Alexa’s at the end of camp!

Someone cool has a guest post coming up tomorrow…
