Hello friends! I’ve got a cool post for you today, so enjoy!
Just before the campers at Camp Happy Heart awoke, the counselors held a meeting. They did this every morning to plan out the daily events and discuss the needs of the campers.
Counselor Peri had a very important announcement. One of her campers had a birthday, and no one knew!
The counselors knew there had to be something they could do to make it up to him. A plan was made, and tasks were assigned.
“Cloud, we’re going to plan a surprise party for Tye today. Try to keep him occupied,” Counselor Peri whispered.
“Boys!” Counselor Peri boomed. “Time to wake up!”
The kids rolled out of bed, yawning and grumbling.
“Our daily event has been canceled for the day. Instead, you may have extra free time.”
The boys got dressed and ready for the day.
After breakfast and the morning announcements, The Super Adventurers returned to their cabin.
The rest of Camp Happy Heart stayed behind to plan a surprise party!
“We had a birthday last week! Sadly, we didn’t catch it in time to celebrate, but we’re making up for that today! We’re going to plan a super special surprise party for our dear Tye!”
“We’ve got teams to split up into. Join Berry if you want to work on food, Eden for decorations, Starburst for presents, and me for entertainment!”
On the food committee there’s Cali, Stella, Cam, and Waffle.
Chip, Oswald, Cherry, and Cherie all joined the present team.
Joining Summer was Mischief, Rudy, Petal, Swirl, and Candy.
Finally, Eden took Claire, Sandy, Gracie, and Sparkles on the decorating team.
Once teams were assigned, the groups split up.
Berry led her group into the kitchen.
“Okay! I trust you with Waffle, because I really need to cook your lunch! If you need help, just holler!”
Waffle took initative on the cake.
Cam and Stella went through the savory foods.
Cali chose appropriate beverages for the party.
Suddenly, the team heard voices.
“I want a snack,”
The voice belonged to a certain someone who the bears really didn’t want to find out about food.
“Oh no!” Cali panicked.
In the fridge she went, perfectly hidden.
Waffle hid behind a stool.
Cam took the basket and scaled the countertops. He stealthily hid atop the cabinets.
Stella scoured the room for a hiding place, but they’d all been taken.
In a panic, Stella grabbed a clean pot from the dishwasher and began scrubbing away.
Cloud, Theo, and Tye came barreling into the kitchen.
“Hi!” Stella said awkwardly. She would never usually initiate the conversation, but she had to keep the attention off of the hidden bears.
“Uh, hi,” Cloud replied.
“Okay…” Tye interjected. “We were just going to get a snack.”
His hand reached for the refrigerator door.
“No!” Stella shouted. Then she blushed, for she hated the odd stares she received from the boys.
“Um, I just meant that you probably don’t want what’s in the fridge. You should have some fruit instead!”
“Let’s have some bananas,” Stella announced, leading the boys away.
“Is it safe?” Cali peeked out of the refrigerator.
Seeing that the boys were gone, the hidden bears scrambled from their hiding places.
With the interruption over, the remaining bears rushed to finish the food for the party.
The entertainment team wasn’t having much better luck with their project.
“Okay guys, do we have any ideas for what to do for entertainment?” Summer cheerfully asked.
“I have an idea!” Mischief grinned, producing a book. “We can read pages from my sister’s diary!”
Summer plucked the diary from Mischief’s greedy hands. “I don’t think so…”
“We could play Uno?” Swirl suggested.
“Good!” Summer encouraged.
“I could play the guitar?” Petal offered, warranting an enthusiastic nod from Summer.
“I could sing!” Candy boasted.
“I could do backup vocals?”
“Good! I like our plans,” Summer agreed. “I’ll leave you guys to plan everything out further.”
Petal, Rudy, and Candy all began practicing their music.
“You guys sound really good together!” Tye complimented.
The color drained from Petal’s face. “Um, thank you.”
“Play me a song!”
The trio performed a lovely song, warranting cheer and applause from Theo, Tye, and Cloud.
“That was amazing!”
“Phew,” Petal sighed once the others left. “At least we weren’t singing ‘Happy Birthday!'”
“Okay, so do we have any ideas?” Starburst asked.
“We should throw Tye a surprise party!” Cherry shouted.
“Cherry, we already are. Right now we need to think of a present for him.”
“Oh! What about an American Girl doll then?” Cherry suggested.
“Cherry dear, I think that might be something you want…”
“Trust me Cherry, Tye would much rather have a new bike or something,” Chip rolled his eyes.
“Excuse me, I’m getting a phone call,” Starburst answered her phone.
“That was Tye’s parents! I think we have the perfect gift now…”
The girls on the decorating committee were having a grand time making signs.
Sandy was perfectly in her creative element.
Gracie and Sparkles carefully taped up the posters.
The signs looked really pretty!
With all preparations put into place, the campers waited for Cloud and Theo to lead Tye to the party area.

Ooh, that sure was fun! Check back tomorrow to see how the party goes!

I suddenly understand something XD
