  1. Hey, um Diamond. Me and ocean are trying to build a blog together, and we’re trying to get me as an author, but we are having a lot of trouble. I think we’re doing something wrong. Could you please help us!

        1. Ok, so under the left sidebar there should be a button that says “people”. (It’s near the bottom, next to settings). Click on that, and it will list your team. There’s a button on that page that says invite. All Ocean will have to do, is click on that and enter your email/Wordpress username. She can change the role(I forget what exactly they all mean, but you guys would probably need editor, administrator, or at least author.) I would imagine you would then get an email and be able to see that blog on your WordPress dashboard. Again, I’ve never done this, but I hope I can help!

        2. Ok, I looked on WordPress and here’s what it says about the roles:
“Administrator – nothing is off limits* (see note below)
Editor – has access to all posts, pages, comments, categories, tags, and links.
Author – can write, upload photos to, edit, and publish their own posts.
Contributor – has no publishing or uploading capability, but can write and edit their own posts until they are published
Follower (public sites) / Viewer (private sites only) – can read and comment on posts and pages”

You guys can figure out what works best for you. I can’t wait to see the new blog!

  2. What is your email? I’m interested in joining Camp Happy Heart this summer (I know I’m a little late, is that okay?) and I’d like to email some pictures and post them on my blog. Thanks.

  3. Hi Diamond! I really love your blog and I was wondering if you could answer a couple questions?

How did you get so many followers?
How do you do the button swap? I really like the idea, but I don’t know how to make my own button or post the other person’s button.

    1. Awwww, thank you so much!

Ooh good questions. Followers are something that come slowly and with a lot of work. It’s taken me almost 5 years to get to where I am now, but I do think newer blogs tend to get followers quicker these days. Posting consistently helps a lot. Also content that people want to read.
It’s also really important to make friends in the blogosphere. Support others, and others will support you. (try not to comment on blogs just saying “follow my blog”…it gets annoying…)

As far as the buttons go, here’s a link to a great tutorial!

Thank you for commenting! Good luck with your blog!
