Hello friends! I have a fun interview for you all today.
Anyway, the reason I’m interviewing Kaelyn is because she just launched Stuffed Stories! That’s right guys, we have another stuffed animal blog in the blogosphere! *cheers*
Anyway, I asked her some questions and I loved her answers. Let’s get into it!
(My questions will be in bold, and Kaelyn’s answers will be italicized.)
Let’s start off with a question not about blogging, what is one thing you wish everyone knew about you?
The first thing that comes to mind is that I want everyone to know is that I am a passionate Christian on fire for Jesus and it is not just a religion to me but, a beautiful relationship with Jesus that I can’t imagine my life without. The second thing would be is my love for singing and music. I also love choir, musical theater, and drama class as well.
That is an incredible answer!
Most of us know about your current amazing blog, Kaelyn’s Life. What made you want to start that?
When I was about 11 or 12 years old, my favorite author had a blog called Tween You and Me. I made a WordPress account in order to follow it and with a WordPress account it gives you a blogging template in which I named the blog they gave me, Kaelyn’s Life. I would write on my blog every now and then and had an amazing time doing it. Eventually along the way, blogging became a full-time hobby and I became very involved in the blogosphere which I am very thankful to be a part of.
How long have you been blogging for?
I have been blogging for about 5-6 years now and it has been an incredible journey for sure. 🙂
Wow! In all your time blogging, you must have learned some new things. What is something you’d like to tell old Kaelyn about starting a blog?
That blogging is a time commitment and to have a flourishing blog you have to be able to commit to it. When I was younger, my posting was a lot more inconsistent and my writing more sloppy. I have learned over time and have become better writer because of it.
That is so true.
I’m sure you have fond memories of blogging. But, which one is your favorite blogging memory?
My favorite blogging memory? Well, when the girls from Tween You and Me came to my blog and they started their own blogs. I got to bond with those girls and the tradition of Mini-Makers, a creativity showcase I do monthly, started on Tween You and Me. Tween You and Me is the blog that started blogging for me. They sadly do not post anymore but you can still go to their website to see all of their amazing posts. Tween You and Me has helped me to become the person and blogger I am today.
Let’s move on to your newest project. What made you decide to start Stuffed Stories?
I have never thought of the idea to start Stuffed Stories until I came to BuildABearsFurever, your blog Diamond!! Your blog is the starting inspiration for Stuffed Stories and what I saw you do made me think that I wanted to do something like that as well. Thank you so much Diamond!! You and your blog is the inspiration for Stuffed Stories start!
Aww, that means so much to me! When I started BABF, I hoped that some other people would begin to start a stuffed animal blog too. I’m so glad the idea is catching!
Tell us about the stuffed animals that will be featured on Stuffed Stories.
The Stuffed Animals that will be featured are my Build A Bears and some of my favorite stuffed animals as well. You will probably get a chance to hear from all of them eventually. We will have Cooking with Katie, Musings of Mary Moo Cow, and Starlights Songs and MUCH MORE!!
That’s sounds so exciting!
Blogging isn’t all fun and games. What do you think will be the biggest challenge of stuffie blogging?
The biggest challenge will be getting pictures uploaded and posts up on time. Another challenge will to not be too receptive so things don’t get boring although, I don’t think that will be the hardest thing but it is definitely something I will need to be aware of.
On the contrary to that, what do you look forward to most about stuffie blogging?
Being able to write creative, fun, light-hearted, and joy-filled posts. I want laughter and life to be throughout everything I do. I want my blog to be a place of creativity and that no matter what age you are that joy of laughter will never cease and that there is truly hope in every situation of life.
You’re a teenager who still owns stuffed animals. Is there anything you’d like to say to people who find that weird?
This a great question, Diamond! Many people may find that strange but stuffed animals are fun and who said that stuffed animals only had to be for little kids? Stuffed animals are fun, snuggly, and can be great inspirations for stories. If you like stuffed animals, and your a teenager as well, there is nothing wrong with that. Be yourself because everyone one else is already taken. When you dare to be yourself, you help others to be their true selves as well. If you don’t like stuffed animals, that is alright too. Be yourself and don’t try to be a copy of someone else.
Yes! That is so true! I made a post about this in the past, and I 100% agree with you Kaelyn.
Thank you so much Diamond for interviewing me here today! I am honored that you would do this for me.
Thank you for answering the question! I loved your answers, and I can’t wait for Stuffed Stories!
I hope you guys enjoyed that interview! Make sure to check out Stuffed Stories!
