The Disney Staycation ~ BAB Appreciation Days feat. Oswald

Hello friends! I feel like it’s been forever since our last BABAD post, but I guess it was only in January. Anyway, I decided it was long past time for another, so here you go!

(fun fact, apparently that’s how I’ve introduced the last 4 BABADs.)

I’m really happy with today’s segment. It’s one I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I think it turned out alright. Enjoy!

“Are you okay back there kids?”

“Why wouldn’t we be okay?” Oswald asked.

“I still don’t know why you won’t tell me where you’re going.”

“You’ll see,”

The Caramel family walked into the Stone’s house. Oswald wasn’t sure why his family was being so secretive about a visit to their cousin’s house.

Instrumental Disney music piped through the house. Oswald saw a large photo of the Cinderella Castle.

“Welcome to Disney World!” Waffle greeted, holding out a cone. “I made you a Dole Whip!”

Oswald took a bite of the Dole Whip.

“Mmm,” he commented. “Tangy.”

“Would you guys like a photo by the castle?” Sandy asks.

“We do,” Starburst says. “But first, I have something for Oswald.”

She loosely tied a mouse ear hat upon Oswald’s head.

Sandy positioned her camera just right, to get the best angle.

“Say cheese!”

The photo turned out lovely.

“What now?” Oswald asked.

“We’ve got a lot planned today,” Swirl noted.

After the photo in front of the castle, the Caramel kids went to go meet some characters.

First up was Rey and Kylo Ren.

Then, they met some superheroes. Today, Captain Marvel and Spider-Man were there.

Frozen characters were the next to be met.

Oswald was excited to meet Baymax.

The kids pose with Rapunzel.

Finally, they got their picture taken with Stitch.

“It’s time for a Disney sing-along!”

“Look at this stuff
Isn’t it neat?
Wouldn’t you think my collection’s complete?
Wouldn’t you think I’m the girl
The girl who has everything?

Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Looking around here you’d think
Sure, she’s got everything”

“7 AM, the usual morning line-up:
Start on the chores and sweep ’til the floor’s all clean
Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up
Sweep again
And by then
It’s like 7:15

And so I’ll read a book or maybe two or three
I’ll add a few new paintings to my gallery
I’ll play guitar and knit, and cook and basically
Just wonder when will my life begin?”

“The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation
And it looks like I’m the queen

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I’ve tried
Don’t let them in, don’t let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know
Well, now they know

Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don’t care what they’re going to say
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway”

“It’s the circle of life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
‘Til we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle
The circle of life”

“What can I say except, “You’re welcome”
For the tides, the sun, the sky
Hey, it’s okay, it’s okay
You’re welcome
I’m just an ordinary demi-guy”

After the sing-along was over, the Imperial March began playing.

“I’m looking for a young Padawan to battle,” Darth Mohawk boomed.

“Are any of you brave enough to face me?”

“You’ll need this,” Starburst said, handing Oswald a lightsaber.

The lightsaber blades crashed and each boy put up a good fight.

Eventually, Oswald’s saber prevailed.

“You are a worthy opponent!” Darth Mohawk said in defeat.

“Jedis always defeat the Sith.”

Once the fight was cleared out, an art instructor came by to teach a how-to-draw class.

The character being taught was Mickey Mouse.

Oswald was very proud of his drawing.

“Argh! Is me matey Oswald learning how to swordfight today?”

Chip the pirate handed Oswald his sword and taught him a few moves.

Oswald had such a fun day, that he didn’t mind when it was over.

“Did you have fun?” Starburst asked.

“It makes me feel really special that everyone did all of this for me. I truly am one lucky rabbit.”

Did you guys like that? I’ve missed Disney World a lot lately, but this post has kind of helped with that homesickness. Not that I lived at Disney World…but it does feel like home.

Have you ever been to Disney World?

  1. Oh my goodness. I think the funniest part was when you had Spiderman sing Let It Go😂🤣.
And Darth Mohawk, (defiantly Darth Mohawk)
I have never been to Disney World. Although I live like 3 hours away.

    1. 😂thank you. That’s one of my favorites.

What?! Girl…if I lived three hours away I’d get an annual pass and go every weekend! (Maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit😂)
But seriously, if you ever have the opportunity to go, you should!

Heyyy I’ve got a lot of that sort of stuff too, so I won’t be posting as much as I’d like. But hopefully, towards the end of May I’ll be able to have a lot of great posts!
