Hello friends! Today, I have compiled a list of ten tips for traveling during a pandemic. Now, I want to preface this and say that traveling during a pandemic can put you at risk and you should put a lot of thought into whether you should go or not. However, if you do decide to go, following these tips can help you out!
Wear a mask
This one is simply because it’s required. I know it’s no fun to wear a mask, but if you go on a trip, you have to! Make sure to try and find some that are comfortable enough to wear for a length of time.
Pack light
What I mean by this is that if you are flying, you might want to try to pack lighter than usual. Someone will be touching your stuff, so maybe just try to not take stuff unless you really need to?
Bring extra clothes
I realize this contradicts my previous statement, but yeah, bring extra clothes. With wearing a mask, you’ll probably get warmer and sweat more, so you might want to change clothes. Also, if you’re concerned about getting germs on your clothes, you might want to change as soon as you get back to your hotel.
Cooling Towel/fan
Depending on where you’re going, it might be pretty hot. I recommend taking a cooling towel or a small fan to help offset the extra heat from mask wearing. They actually do work!
Wash hands often
This is kind of a no-brainer right? Like, I hope you were all washing your hands often before the pandemic, but either way, I’ll remind you.
Don’t go if you have a fever
I mean, yeah. Most hotels and stuff check your temperature, so don’t go if you have a fever. It works out, because most of the time you don’t want to go anywhere if you have a fever.
Drive if you can
It’s a lot easier than flying. You don’t have to worry with canceling your flight, wearing a mask, waiting at the airport around a bunch of people, etc. Plus, it’s cheaper. So, if you don’t mind your trip taking a little longer, maybe drive instead of fly?
Avoid unecessary stops
I mean, this is a great tip for any trip. But especially during a pandemic you want to try to only stop when you have to. Stop at fast food restaurants vs. sit down restaurants and etc.
Check out restrictions before you go
Check out what restaurants are take out only and what restaurants are even open. Diamond recently went on a trip and went to a closed restaurant. not fun…
Book a flexible trip
Finally, I have this tip for you. Book a flexible trip! If something comes up and you have to cancel, you’ll be glad. Plus, a ton of hotels and travel companies offer more flexible cancellations.

Well, that’s all I have for you today! I hope you enjoyed these tips.

The tips were great and relevant. But I loved reading it assuming that the tips were being told by a stuffed animal! It just felt so cute and informative at the same time!

Awesome, awesome tips! And I agree with what Introverted Thoughts said – reading it and assuming the tips were suggested by your teddy was quite cute.
