Aftershock Interview

Hello friends!

Aftershock Week

As you can see, today we have the interview! The amazing Miriam agreed to ask me some questions about Aftershock. Huge thanks to her!

Anyway, here are my answers to her questions!

1. What inspired you to start writing Aftershock?

On the doll blogs I used to follow, a lot of bloggers did photo series’s. I knew I always wanted to do one, but it just seemed like it’d be hard to do it with my bears. Eventually I just decided to do one anyway!

As for plot inspiration, I am highly inspired by the MCU, Agents of SHIELD, and Renegades by Marissa Meyer. But I think Aftershock has its own uniqueness as well.

2. When did you first start writing Aftershock?

I believe I began in January 2020, but I didn’t seriously begin until March.

3. If you were an Aftershock character, who would you be?

Hm, probably Tori. No powers, just a simple girl who loves superheroes.

4. If you had to kill off one character, who would it be?

Well I can’t give anything away now can I?

Heh, probably either Pyro or Mr. Man.

5. What was your favorite episode of season 1?

Probably the Christmas special. But I also really loved doing the finale. It was awesome to see everything come together.

6. How many seasons are you planning on publishing?

Currently the plans are for 3 seasons. Possibly 4, but I really feel good about 3. Especially because I have some longer season photo series’s in mind.

7. How did you choose the character’s names?

For the civillian names, I used a name generator. But the superhero names were mostly from my brain.

I thought of related words and came up with ‘Pyro’ and ‘Aftershock’ based on the super power of that character.

8. What’s your favorite graphic/quote from season 2?

Copy of Copy of That was why it nearly broke me to keep things from them. They trusted me, and in return I broke that trust. I couldn’t meet any of their eyes. I didn’t deserve to be a part of this team.
“She claimed that she would come back, but I knew better. The look in her eyes and the fact that she never picked up the phone when we called her told me that she’d already moved on.”

I think this one seems really dramatic. I like it! Hehe…you’ll get to see it in episode six.

Speaking of episode six, there may or may not be a major cliffhanger at the end…

Thanks to Miriam for asking this questions! Don’t forget to check out her blog.

Come back tomorrow for more Aftershock Premiere Week!
