Farewell 2021

Hello friends!

It’s New Year’s Eve! Can you believe 2021 will be over in about 9 hours? I CAN’T WAIT!

I couldn’t think of a post to do today, but you know that song people always sing at New Year’s? I decided to make a lyric photoshoot of that.

I looked up the lyrics, and the song is called Auld Lang Syne…I feel dumb for not knowing this. Anyway, it’s about two friends who meet up for a drink…of um, hot cocoa of course!

I decided to let Sandy and Gracie model for this photo shoot. They’re best friends who don’t see each other as much as they’d like. Enjoy!

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,

We’ll tak a cup o’ kindness ye
For auld lang syne!

We twa hae run about the braes,
And pu’d the gowans fine,

But we’ve wander’d mony a weary fit
Sin auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidl’t in the burn
Frae morning sun till dine,

But seas between us braid hae roar’d
Sin auld lang syne.

And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere,
And gie’s a hand o’ thine,

And we’ll tak a right guid willie-waught
For auld lang syne!

And surely ye’ll be your pint’ stowp,
And surely I’ll be mine,

And we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet
For auld lang syne!

Happy New Year everyone! See you in 2022!

P.S. We have 395 followers! If we get 5 more before Friday, we’ll do something special to celebrate!

    1. Thank you!
Ah…you’d probably recognize the tune. I know there’s a scene at the end of Elf where they sing it if you’ve ever seen that movie.
      Happy New Year Maggie!
